When I was looking into buying my first home, I expected it to be straightforward. It wasn’t. The more I dug in, the more I realized how complicated the process actually is, and how hard it is to get a straight answer, especially if you’re new to it. I kept thinking: someone should be able to explain this stuff in a way that actually makes sense.
That’s why I got into real estate. Not because I had some lifelong dream of selling houses. Because I know what it feels like to be the person trying to figure this out for the first time. I work largely with first-time buyers, and I take that seriously. If you’ve never done this before, you deserve someone who gets what that’s like.
Before real estate, I was a nuclear engineer. That background shows up in how I work more than you’d expect. I’m wired with a desire to understand every detail, and ask the questions most people skip. Buying a home can feel like trying to manage a complex system. I know how to break it down so it doesn’t.
From growing up in rural Connecticut to now calling Portsmouth home, I’m an adventurous person. If I’m not working, I’m probably getting lost in the woods, under water (scuba certified), or on skis. If you’re the kind of buyer who wants to go walk a piece of land or check out a property off the main road, I’ll be the first one grabbing my boots.
I came to real estate from a different world, and I think that’s actually an advantage.
